Where we clean in Addiscombe
From Lower Addiscombe Road to Shirley Road, we cover Ashburton Park, Addiscombe tram stop, Bingham Road and Blackhorse Lane and the streets in between.
Victorian and Edwardian terraces on the tram line into Croydon — a three-bed with a back extension is a solid three-hour weekly clean.
Cleaning in Addiscombe
Where a back extension has opened the kitchen into a dining space, that long room soaks up most of the wear between visits, so it's the one to flag first in your account.
Every terraced house comes with a staircase and landing, and both are vacuumed each visit along with the rooms, so the upstairs is never saved for another day.
Tiled hallways and old floorboards turn up in plenty of period terraces. Leave out products you're happy to have used on each surface, and your cleaner will work with those.
Say what the parking is like when you book — room on the street, or permit bays only — so a cleaner who drives can plan the journey.
Questions from Addiscombe
Does a back extension add time to my clean?
Not by itself. Bedrooms and bathrooms decide the hours, so a three-bed with one bathroom comes out at three hours in our quote. An unusually large extension may want an extra half hour.
Do I need to be home while the cleaner is here?
No — plenty of customers are out at work. You arrange access directly with your cleaner; if they're left on the doorstep, that visit is still charged, so settle on a key or code before the first one.

Common questions
How much does a clean cost?
You pay an hourly rate, and your price depends on the size of your home and how often you'd like a clean. Our instant-quote tool gives you an exact price in about a minute, with no card and no account needed. There are no sign-up fees and no hidden extras.
How are your cleaners vetted?
Every cleaner is ID-verified, DBS-checked, reference-checked and interviewed before their first booking. We only accept people with previous professional cleaning experience.
Can I have the same cleaner every time?
Yes, that's the default. We match you with a local cleaner on your first visit, and they stay with you unless you tell us otherwise. Consistency is the whole point.
Do I need to provide the cleaning products?
Yes, and the equipment too. Your cleaner uses your own products, vacuum, mop and cloths, so you stay in control of what's used in your home and you know what's being used in your home has only been used in your home.
Do I need to be home?
No, plenty of customers aren't. You arrange access directly with your cleaner. Poppins never holds keys or stores entry or alarm codes.
What if I need to cancel a clean?
Skip any visit with 48 hours' notice and there's no fee. With less notice, 50% of the clean is charged, and 100% within 24 hours. Either way it goes to your cleaner for the time they'd set aside.
